Abstract
Protein S is a vitamin K-dependent plasma protein that serves as an anti-coagulation factor, and protein S deficiency increases the risk of thromboembolic events. Protein S deficiency is sometimes associated with pregnancy. There are many reports of venous thrombosis with protein S deficiency, but there are few reports of arterial thrombosis, especially acute myocardial infarction. We report a case of acute myocardial infarction associated with protein S deficiency in the postpartum period.
