Abstract
Cestodes, or tapeworms, are segmented worms. The most commonly found tapeworms in the human body are Diphyllobothrium latum, Taenia saginata, and Taenia solium. The adult worms reside in the gastrointestinal tract, but the larvae can be found in almost any organ. The small bowel is the usual site of the adult taenia, while the stomach is not. We describe a case of a 75-year-old woman with a gastric ulcer and cestode infection in the stomach with a review of the literature.(Korean J Med 73:S1066-S1070, 2007)
