Abstract
Recently, stenting during percutaneous coronary interventions(PCIs) is popularly used for ischemic heart disease. Stent dislodgement is a rare, but recognized, complication of coronary stenting. The potentially fatal consequences of a dislodged intracoronary stent include coronary thrombosis and subsequent myocardial infarction. The treatment of choice is to remove the dislodged stent safely. We report two cases of stent dislodgement in which the stents were removed successfully using a gooseneck snare.
