Abstract |
Diabetes mellitus can cause distinctive neuropathies. Among the various diabetic neuropathies, diabetic
radiculopathy is relatively uncommon. The usual clinical manifestations of diabetic radiculopathy are pain and
paresthesia in the abdomen or flank. However, bulging of the abdomen caused by diabetic radiculopathy has very
rarely been reported. We experienced a case with an unusual presentation of diabetic radiculopathy. For this
patient, the prominent feature was abdominal bulging due to focal paresis of the abdominal muscles.(Korean J Med
