Abstract
We report a case of metastatic renal cell carcinoma arising in the native kidney of a renal transplant recipient. A 60-year-old man presented with paraplegia of both legs. A radiological evaluation revealed cord compression due to a cancer mass, and a pathological examination of the biopsied bone tumor demonstrated metastatic adenocarcinoma, suggestive of renal cell carcinoma. Treatment consisted of removal of the tumor mass on the native kidney, embolization, radiation therapy and a change of the immunosuppressant including everolimus.(Korean J Med 72:S271-S275, 2007) Key Words : Renal cell carcinoma, Transplantation
