Abstract
Atypical adenomatous hyperplasia (AAH) is a probable precursor lesion of bronchioloalveolar carcinoma (BAC) and a pulmonary adenocarcinoma. AAH usually presents as multi-focal lesions and co-exists mostly with BAC and/or an adenocarcinoma. With recent advances in CT imaging, detection of AAH that presents as a solitary pulmonary nodule with ground glass opacity has been on the increase. In Korea, AAH that presents as a solitary pulmonary nodule with ground glass opacity has not been reported. We report a case of a 47-year-old woman, a non-smoker, with AAH of the lung presenting as a solitary pulmonary nodule.(Korean J Med 72:S221-S224, 2007) Key Words : Atypical adenomatous hyperplasia, Pulmonary coin lesion, Ground glass opacity
