Abstract |
Infectious complications are very common cause of both morbidity and mortality in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). These complications are especially common in the patients who used systemic corticosteroids or immunosuppressive agents.
We report a patient who developed abdominal wall, pulmonary and brain abscesses caused by nontuberculous mycobacteria after aggressive treatment with corticosteroids and immunosuppressive agents in a patient with SLE.(Korean J Med 69:S952-S958, 2005) |
