- Abstract
- Behçet’s disease is multi-organ vasculitic disease that is often associated with malignant disease. We report the first case of a gastric carcinoid tumor with hepatic metastasis associated with Behçet’s disease. A 46-year-old man, who had been treated for Behçet’s disease for 20 years, was diagnosed with a gastric carcinoid tumor on endoscopy with a biopsy. Endoscopic ultrasonography and abdominal computed tomography showed an ulcerative submucosal tumor with regional lymphadenopathy. He underwent a subtotal gastrectomy with a hepatic wedge resection for the metastatic hepatic nodule. (Korean J Med 75:S779-S783, 2008)
