- Abstract
- Clinically recognizable metastatic spread of transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary bladder to the bile duct is very
rare. We present here a case of obstructive jaundice as the manifestation of the bile duct involvement of urinary bladder
cancer. This was confirmed by endoscopic biopsy, and the symptoms resolved after endoscopic stenting. Histological
examination of the bile duct lesion revealed transitional cell carcinoma of the micropapillary type, which was same to that
of the urinary bladder carcinoma.(Korean J Med 73:S885-S889, 2007)
