Abstract |
Neurofibromatosis or von Recklinghausen’s disease is a common autosomal dominant disorder that has an increased risk of developing cancer and is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. Malignant tumors of the nervous system often coexist with neurofibromatosis, and are associated with NF1 gene mutations. There are no differences in the treatment and prognosis of neurofibromatosis patients. Malignant lymphoma rarely coexists with neurofibromatosis type 1 and consists mostly of T cell lymphoma. We experienced a rare case of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in a patient with neurofibromatosis type 1. (Korean J Med 75:S811-S814, 2008) |
