| Abstract |
|
Prostatic cancers often metastasize to regional lymph nodes and bones by hematogenous or lymphangitic spread, but generalized lymphadenopathy is a very uncommon manifestation of prostatic cancer. A 69-year-old man presented with cough, sputum production, and cervical lymph node enlargement. On computed tomography (CT) of the chest and abdomen, lymphadenopathy of the left cervical, left supraclavicular, mediastinal, subcarinal, retroperitoneal and inguinal lymph nodes was noted. Osteolytic bone metastases of the thoracic and lumbar spine were also noted. Pelvic CT scan showed a low-density bulging mass on the left lobe of the prostate. Frequency was the only urinary symptom, and the patient’s plasma prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was markedly elevated. Excisional biopsy of left supraclavicular lymph node revealed metastatic prostate adenocarcinoma. We report this case along with a review of the literature. |
