Abstract |
Castleman's disease is a rare, benign disorder of the lymphoid tissue, and this was first described by Castleman in
1956. Although the mediastinum isthe most common location, it also occurs in other areas of the body where lymph
nodes are normally found. Castleman’s disease in the retroperitoneum is an extremely rare condition. We report here a
case of the hyaline-vascular type of Castleman’s disease, and this presented as a solitary retroperitoneal mass that was
found incidentally in a 48 year old female patient.(Korean J Med 73:S895-S899, 2007) |
