Abstract
Lymphomatoid granulomatosis is an angiocentric, angiodestructive lymphoproliferative disease predominantly involving the lungs. Recent studies have indicated that lymphomatoid granulomatosis is an Epstein-Barr virus associated B cell disorder in a background of reactive T lymphocytes. Because of the rarity of the disease, there is no established therapeutic approach for patients with lymphomatoid granulomatosis. We report a case of 17-year-old girl diagnosed with pulmonary lymphomatoid granulomatosis determined by a percutaneous needle biopsy. The disease was refractory to combination chemotherapies and ZevalinⓇ. The patient was treated with high dose chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplantation. However, the general condition of the patient deteriorated with radiological evidence of disease progression and the patient died due to refractory lymphomatoid granulomatosis.(Korean J Med 72:S332-S337, 2007) Key Words : Lymphomatoid granulomatosis, Stem cell transplantation
