Abstract
The normal daily production of bile in human is 500~1,000 mL. Hypercholeresis is defined as bile secretion exceeding 1,000~1,500 mL/day and is known to be associated with cirrhosis and protracted cholestasis. It causes dehydration and metabolic acidosis. We present a case of hypercholeresis occurred following relief of long-standing bile duct obstruction.
