Abstract
Epithelioid hemangioendothelioma (EHE) is a rare vascular tumor with an unpredictable malignant potential and clinical course. Although EHE presents mainly in soft tissues, bone, liver, and lung, it may affect almost every organ system. Only three cases of omental EHE have been reported in the English literature. We report a case of EHE of the omentum. The patient was a 48-year-old man who presented with a palpable abdominal mass. Computed tomography (CT) revealed a large multilobulated cystic mass of the greater omentum. The mass was excised completely. The pathological result was interpreted as epithelioid hemangioendothelioma.
