Abstract
Candidiasis of the gastrointestinal tract typically occurs in a setting of decreased resistance to opportunistic infections, but can also occur in apparently normal individuals. Candidiasis of the gastrointestinal tract predominantly involves the esophagus. Gastroduodenal and enteric candidal lesions have rarely been reported. We identified a single case of duodenal candidiasis in a patient with chronic iron deficiency anemia. The ulcer became a scar after treatment with fluconazole for two weeks and a proton pump inhibitor for eight weeks.
Key Words: Candidiasis; Duodenal ulcer
