Abstract
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disease that is mainly caused by antibodies to the acetylcholine receptor at the post-synaptic site of the neuromuscular junction. Thymic abnormalities are found in nearly 75% of patients with myasthenia gravis. Many other autoimmune diseases such as thyroid diseases are associated with myasthenia gravis, but the combination of myasthenia gravis and hyperparathyroidism is extremely rare. We report here on a case of myasthenia gravis associated with thymic tumor and primary hyperparathyroidism.(Korean J Med 71:S1039-S1043, 2006)
