Abstract
A coronary arteriovenous fistula is a communication between one of the coronary arteries and a cardiac chamber or vein. Contrary to pulmonary artery fistulas, which are occasional and usually incidental findings on adult coronary angiography, intercoronary arterial shunt without coronary artery occlusive disease is very rare. We experienced a case of interarterial shunt in a 52-year-old male patient who has a shunt between the right coronary artery and the left circumflex artery, and there was no evidence of coronary artery occlusive disease on the coronary angiography. We report here on this case with a review of the literature, and this is the first such case of Korea.(Korean J Med 71:S1017-S1019, 2006)
